L. Michael's Story
Life
I was born in Hastings, MI and moved to a farm on Martin Road when I was in the 1st grade. I attended and graduated from Woodland H.S. in 1959. I attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mi. My career started in Engineering at E.W. Bliss in their Hastings facility, later into sales and was transfered to great city of Chicago. Later I was transfer to the Buckeye State and there for about 30 years. I did a lot of traveling while in Ohio and was able to visit 13 different countries. California and a daughter who lives in Dayton, OH. My mother Margaret who some of you know still lives in Hastings, MI.
College
From High School, I attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. At college I was on the track team running the 440 yard dash and corss-country. For one year (1960), I held the school record in the 440 at a time of 49.9. I did not complete school as I became ill and had to drop out. Never went back. However, through out my career, I took evening classes at Kellogg Comm College, Eastern Michigan and Park College.
Workplace
I resently retired.
